Learn how to safely make, test and fire ceramic glazes in this class. Lectures and demonstrations will include studio safety, proper documentation, units of measurement, glaze starting points, what the major chemical groups do what and in what kiln atmosphere, using the gram scale, and firing your tests in the electric or gas kiln without making the lab tech mad at you, and soda firing!

Your class fee provides one bag of clay, misc supplies, firing and glazing.

Taught by Sam, this class meets every Thursday evening from 6 - 9pm in the Ceramics Studio at the Art Association from Feb 16 - March 23.
